eSign PDF ("we", "our", or "the app") is built with privacy as a core principle. Your documents contain sensitive personal information — contracts, tax forms, medical records, legal agreements. We believe you should be able to sign them without a single byte leaving your device.
1. Our Privacy Commitment
eSign PDF is a 100% on-device application. This means:
- • Your documents are never uploaded to any server
- • Your signatures are stored only on your device
- • No account or email is required to use the app
- • No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted
- • No contact access is requested
- • No advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking is used
- • The app works fully offline — no internet connection required
2. Information We Collect
a. Documents & Signatures
All PDF documents you import, signatures you create, and forms you fill are processed and stored exclusively on your device. We have no access to this data. When you delete the app, this data is permanently removed from your device.
b. Camera Access
eSign PDF requests camera access only when you choose to scan a physical document or import a signature photo. Camera data is processed on-device and is never transmitted externally. You can deny camera access and still use the app with file imports.
c. Photo Library Access
If you choose to import a document or signature from your Photos library, the app accesses only the specific item you select. No bulk photo access is requested or required.
d. Subscription Data
Subscription purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We receive only your subscription status (active, expired, trial) through RevenueCat. We never receive your name, email, payment method, or Apple ID.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use data only to provide core app functionality:
- • Rendering and editing PDF documents on your device
- • Storing your saved signatures locally for reuse
- • Managing document folders on your device
- • Verifying subscription status for premium features
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, marketing, or sharing with any third party.
4. Third-Party Services
eSign PDF uses the following third-party services:
- • RevenueCat — to manage subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat receives anonymous subscription status only. No document data is shared.
- • Apple StoreKit — to process in-app purchases. Payments are handled entirely by Apple under their privacy policy.
No analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking tools are included in the app.
5. Data Storage & Security
- • All data is stored locally on your device using iOS sandboxed storage
- • No centralized server or database is maintained by eSign PDF
- • Your device's built-in encryption (Data Protection) secures app data at rest
- • Exported PDFs are flattened to prevent signature tampering
6. Data Retention & Deletion
Your documents and signatures remain on your device until you delete them. You can:
- • Delete individual documents or signatures within the app at any time
- • Delete the app to permanently remove all data from your device
Because no data is stored on our servers, there is nothing to request deletion of on our end.
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the right to:
- • Know what data is collected (answer: none, beyond what's on your device)
- • Request deletion of your data (answer: delete the app or individual items within it)
- • Opt out of data sharing (answer: we don't share any data)
8. Children's Privacy
eSign PDF is rated 4+ on the App Store. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app collects no personal data from any user, this applies universally.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
