OneTask respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and how it is protected.
1. Our Philosophy on Privacy
OneTask is built on restraint. That includes restraint in data collection.
- • We collect only what is necessary to make the app function
- • We do not build user profiles
- • We do not sell data
- • We do not track behavior for advertising
2. Information We Collect
a. User-Provided Data
- • Tasks you enter
- • Timer activity related to those tasks
This data exists solely to provide the core functionality of the app.
b. Automatically Collected Data
OneTask does not collect personal analytics, advertising identifiers, or cross-app tracking data.
c. iCloud Sync
If enabled, your data is stored securely in your personal iCloud account. Apple manages this data under their privacy and security policies. OneTask does not have access to your iCloud credentials.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used only to:
- • Display your current task
- • Track focus time
- • Maintain task history on your device
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or selling/sharing with third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
OneTask uses the following services:
- • Apple iCloud – for optional data synchronization
- • RevenueCat – to manage subscriptions and purchases
These services operate under their own privacy policies. OneTask only receives subscription status and does not receive payment details.
5. Data Storage & Security
- • Data is stored locally on your device and/or your iCloud account
- • Industry-standard security practices are used
- • No centralized user database is maintained by OneTask
6. Data Retention
Task history is retained based on your selected retention period. You may delete your data at any time from within the app.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- • Access your data
- • Delete your data
- • Disable iCloud sync
Because OneTask does not maintain a central server, deleting the app removes local data.
8. Children's Privacy
OneTask is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as the app evolves. Any changes will be reflected within the app or on the website.
