eSign PDF / Guide
You do not need to buy a printer or go to a store. If the paperwork came as a PDF, you can sign it on your iPhone.
Short answer
If your paperwork came as a PDF, you can sign it on your iPhone. No printer and no scanner. Open the file, sign with your finger, and send it back. The iPhone's built-in tool works for simple forms. eSign PDF also makes sure the signature shows up on the other end, with no account, for $59.99 one-time (US).

Choose it from Mail or Files.
Add your signature and fill in the details.
Share a finished PDF they can open.
Tap the PDF in your email or in the Files app. Tap the Share button (the square with the arrow) and choose eSign PDF. If you only have a paper copy, you can take a picture of it inside the app.
Draw your signature with your finger and put it on the signature line. Type your name and the date where the form asks.
Tap Share and choose Mail, or save it to Files if you need to upload it to a website.
Some computers do not show a signature added with the iPhone's built-in tool. The office opens your file and the line looks empty. Then they ask you to do it again.
eSign PDF locks the signature into the page (this is called flattening). It becomes part of the paper, so it shows up for everyone.
Your iPhone has a built-in tool called Markup. Open the PDF, tap the pen icon, tap +, and choose Add Signature. For a simple one-page form, it can work fine. See our page on signing a PDF without printing for more help.
